The law of attraction and wealth
“A year from now, you will wish you had started today” states the author Karen Lamb.
So that’s exactly what it is like with wealth and the law of attraction. You can attract things you would like into your life and the best time to start is now.
Say goodbye to procrastination and hello to action and be accountable to someone or yourself to get things done.
It could be said that’s the difference between getting what you want or not. Starting. All you have to do is show up, if you don’t take action nothing is going to happen. It is part of the law of attraction and wealth. For this instance I am specifically talking about the law of attraction and wealth.
In the case of winning the lottery, it could be said many people dream of this and imagine what they would do with the money. For me, it was a favourite game at school to imagine what we would do if we had all the money in the world, we would discuss our dream house, holiday house, car, ski lodge etc. This is a common story and many people at some stage of their lives have said “If I win the lottery I would ……….”, you can just fill in the dots with your wishes. On the contrary, I have said that sentence many times and only bought about 10 lottery tickets in my life. I wonder how many of us actually buy the tickets, in other words take action.
Personally, I procrastinate and don’t buy the tickets partly because I find it uncomfortable. I am not sure if I really want to win. Many people claim “you’ve got to be in it to win it” despite the odds of 1 in 292,000,000 of actually winning.
Allegedly humans have an inbuilt default state to lean towards notions of hope. This can both be sustaining but, also blurs our reality and we keep trying and imagine we are so close to winning and it will only be a matter of time.
Also, the appeal about the lottery is that anyone can enter and it is not about skill but pure luck. Plus, for many it is their only way they can imagine receive large amounts of money to fulfil their dreams and hopes.
However, at the moment this is the case for me as, in reality I can’t see any other way of receiving such a large amount of money to achieve my goals. I am wondering if persistence pays off especially with the law of attraction and wealth. I just read about an artist who won the Mosman art prize and she was delighted as it was her 15th year of trying to get into the art prize and then not only was she accepted but she won!,
This is where wealth and the law of attraction come together, as I ask myself and you can we apply the law of attraction to obtaining and becoming wealthy.
The law of attraction and wealth
In order to apply the law of attraction we actually need to do something, ie take action and not just dream of it in our head. It is important to use your imagination and the power of your mind but at the same, time if you want to win the lottery you are not going to do so if you don’t buy a lottery ticket. For many years I have been working on attracting things into my life and it can work. It is not a magic formula in the sense that you wish for something once and it turns up, you do have to work at it and keep practicing every day. The law of attraction and wealth needs you to work at it and what you want in order for it to be attracted to you. You need to attract to get attraction.
My biggest setback is my mind and the inner critique as I often wonder why I haven’t actually bought any lottery tickets? Or taken action on any of my other dreams and wishes. You may be different but it is a common problem for people to really want something and complain if they don’t have it and they don’t do anything about their situation.
It is a combination of different factors, the biggest one is my inner critique who says things like “you couldn’t possibly win”, “you would/should feel guilty if you win”. I also feel I don’t want to feel different to my friends or how I was before. I am sure there would be an expectation if you won the lottery that people would suggest you pay for everything as you have all the money in the world. Personally, I would like to win a sum of money but not the jackpot. I think it helps if you have a clear goal as to what you want the money for such, as a house in a certain neighbourhood (you may want to stay in the same area that you live in so you can keep your same group of friends), a particular holiday etc. Then you can focus on an amount you would like to win such as $5 million rather than the $55 million that they often advertise.
Deep down I also have long held beliefs such as I am a cheat if I win a large amount of money instead of earning it. Plus, my winnings are at the cost of somebody else’s loss. Therefore, I have done my research and only buy lottery tickets from the state that I live in so some of the money people buy tickets with hopefully goes back into the community.
There are many other inner beliefs we have that hold us back and the feeling that I don’t deserve to win the lottery is a common one. The flip side to this is it gives us the opportunity to work on our own self worth and the possibility to think that I am worthy of winning the lottery.
Beat the system
Therefore, with the law of attraction and wealth it is possible to work on your mind and turn negative setbacks into positive wins. Sometimes it takes a little nudge and some work and I find if I work on my mind it makes all the difference. Christy Marie Sheldon’s Unlimited Abundance course sets your mind free and it is worth listening to the free one hour video to see if this appeals to you. My life changed when I decided to do as much inner work as possible as they say “your outside life is a reflection of your inner world”.
Good luck with achieving your dreams and goals and enjoy the journey as it is often more fun than the destination.
